I just bought membership a couple of OSRS gold days ago, persuaded by a friend and the Mad May thing, and when I actually got on to some members globe I realised I did not have a clue what to do. Since then I have done the obligatory farming functions, slayer missions and hint scrolls – but now I’m running out of stuff to do in another three and a half weeks of this membership period.
So some tips on what might be a good idea to train, any minigames to attempt or just anything that is fun/rewarding to do on RS members now. If you guys could indicate something that I could purchase then that would be great; I’ve got 50m money but I’d rather not spend too much.
And finally I am looking for a few abilities to train to 99 or just a higher level, but idk what I could train without spending lots of money on for no return, what is reasonable spending etc.. My skills should still be in my signature, if not then I’ll add asap.
If you would like to spend very little (under 10M), then a set of Barrows armour plus some fine peripheries (fury, though that is not necessarily the best) still provides excellent bang for your buck. However, there are a couple really nice things which you ought to receive. I am assuming you have not been here for a while. Very powerful one-handed melee weapon which you get after dungeoneering for some time: you need at least 80 dunge to buy it, employing the dunge reward system. Most chaotic weapons would be the most effective in their own class. Slimming in cost, these are generally go-to things in case you have some money. 12M for one piece, 12M for another. They provide a power and prayer bonus.
I am not an expert on helms, however if you’re slaying you would like the complete slayer helm for its own bonuses (similarly Salve amulet if it is relevant) and Verac’s helm otherwise. For boots, you’ll probably need to adhere to dragon. There are far better boots, known as”ragefire” I think, but I don’t think you want to spend your bank on them. For gloves, either barrows gloves out of RFD or possibly goliath gloves in the dominion tower. Goliaths require that you have done plenty of quests and a lot of arcade-style combat in a big tower filled with pursuit bosses. Something you might pick up when you have caught up in your questing generally, I presume.
For the ring, there’s a very nice free ring you get out of”A return to stone” (I think that is exactly what the quest is called). It begins in TzHaar town, at the birthing pool. It is all of the fremmenik assault ring’s bonuses, along with a bunch of very nice reusable teleports, and a battle bonus contrary to the tzhaar. Or you could get the Berserker ring, that delivers a strength bonus, or Old School RuneScape Gold you could get the explorer’s ring, which offers some free alchemy spells each day, or you may find an Onyx ring and imbue it in mobilising armies.
