There’s plenty of new material with Episode 5 to help keep players busy, and the story is back to being centered around ARKS and fighting the Dark Falz. Alongside all these exciting new features, new things and PSO2 Meseta Scratch Tickets will also be out, and new Urgent Quests are going to be on the way to freshen up things in PSO2. There are still lots of details to be revealed as time goes one, but some significant things like battle and the world are much clearer. Hiro Arai out of Sega has been live for nearly an hour to show off footage of gameplay and also talk about what new things are on the way. Not much was said about the present game and the update coming alongside NG’s launch apart from the graphical upgrade, which will be looking fantastic.
Maps are no more split into areas with loading screens. NG will have a completely open world from the home base to the area. The TGS footage showed off a gorgeous new world that’s a significant update from the current game. Blades of grass blow in the end, lush forests lie on the other side of valleys and frosty mountains could be viewed in the distance. Arai mentions that different areas can be attained easily simply by exposing the entire world. It seems like that is the planet Naberious in the present game, with woods being next to tundra and other regions. Areas continue to be technically split up, but there’s no loading between them. While it has not been directly mentioned, an open world like this suggests there might not be single celebration areas . Most revealed in the footage were multi-party areas where there were other gamers. The cap for multi-party areas has been reduced to eight down from twelve in the current PSO2, but that you see will differ from area to area.
Weather is creating a much better comeback as it affects dynamically and can affect the battlefield, although the magnitude of the impact was not spoken of. Time may also change, and footage showed several nice touches such as fireflies in the woods at night. There’s no word on fast travel, vehicles or mounts yet, but Sega has implemented several new methods for players to move fast across this large new world. Players will have the ability to run quicker after a dodge both in and out of combat. A blue series follows underfoot, so you will know you’re doing it right when you see it.
The other significant addition to motion shown off at the initial NG trailer is that the glide. It goes as far as some of the screenshots have made it look. Players can get to high ground and jump off to glide and receive pretty damn much across the map. Like in Breath of the Wild, you will be able to make you are way up a mountain to glide away from — but minus anything alerting you enjoy endurance. It will also cause some dramatic entrances in to battle. Sega already stated that gathering and crafting would be getting an overhaul, and while we didn’t have a look at crafting, we did observe just how much nicer it is to snag items within the field. Gathering can be done on the fly, similar to Dragon Hunter: World. Get close to cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta an item, and just tap a button. Fruit can be picked from trees, you will find fresh docile creatures that can be hunted for meat and other items and healing items can be found throughout the land as green luminous indicators called Resta Signals. It’s much more intuitive than the present game.
