I had to come to the comments to find out wtf they were speaking to as black face because the Animal Crossing Items character doesn’t look black to me. The drawing is actually pretty ambiguous
She is literally 16 years old and has gone through horrible loss with her mum and her sister dying recently (seperate episodes ), and she has to take care of randoms attacking her bc of a tan. She’s had a tough fucking go of it, idk how folks bring themselves to maintain putting down her over something so insignificant.
It is just as ridiculous the contrary way.
However, because I received my daddy’s white genes (I absolutely cannot tan. I only freckle), apparently that means I am no more Hispanic and am not permitted to talk about Latino issues.
Meanwhile; you may be 7th gen immigrant from Latin America, not speak a lick of Spanish, and know nothing about your family’s country of origin- but because you’re tan, you are more Hispanic than me.Identity politics according to your shade of skin color is the most absurd thing I’ve ever experienced.
I would love to learn what these individuals would do if they met this AirForce guy I know. Hed violate their brains.Ya know, the whole point of a match. Be someone who your not. Or is it racist that some teams have black quarterbacks?
Man, that takes me back to my own youth. I wanted the Asian bratz doll because I believed she was the prettiest. However, You know, if you’re a blonde blue eyed little girl then everyone will present you the blonde blue eyed doll… it was rather boring when all the dolls you own are clones of each other, I desired variety
Cultural apropriation could be a problem, but people frequently speak about it the wrong way. For example, if a new culture adopts state a necklace and it becomes a popular trend, but the culture that invented it’s seen as backwards for using it, that’s debatable cultural apropriation.
I wanted the Brandy doll as a child, and my favorite Barbie was the dark skinned one with all the purple and buy Animal Crossing Bells white princess gown since she was pretty. When I’d play Barbie computer games, Teresa was my favourite character.
